Is Your Hut Burning?

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed upon a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions. But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived to find his little hut flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened, everything was lost.
Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him.
"How did you know where I was?" asked the weary man of his rescuers.
"We saw your smoke signal" they replied

It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering. Remember, next time your "little hut" is buring to the ground, it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God.

I heard this story at church and I love it. just thought I would share because I know everyones little huts burn sometimes but it always happens for a reason and God really loves everyone and he wants everyone to be happy!

My Sweet Husband!!!

My Sweet Husband surprised me with the best Valentine present ever!! A coupon (cupon, love the spelling) Book! I will now get: A weekend Getaway just Zac and I (Any babysitters out there for a weekend), A Romantic Evening (Yes!) , A night Zac does the dishes so I can relax (Wow that will be great), A Homade dinner (yumo), Date night dinner and movie (Need a babysitter for this one), A Car wash inside and out including waxing (my car really needs it, I will be using this one soon.) 50 dollar shopping spree on whatever I want (yahooo! Who wants to go shopping?), A day to myself (I don't know what that is?), A 30 minute back massage (can't wait to use this one), and there are a few more that I won't be adding on my blog because I will get embarrassed because my husband was being silly.
I love my husband so much!! He really does a good job at everything he does. He's a hard worker, Great dad and a Terrific Husband! We didn't get to spend Valentines day together because I had to work, but it was nice to come home to this surprise! He also bought me the most beautiful flowers ever! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Zac! I love you tons!!!

Kiddos and Cousins

I love these little kids. They are all so full of energy and they truly are so innocent and pure. They get so excited about all the small things. It makes me realize how much joy children bring into our lives. We sure had a blast decorating Valentine Cookies and playing. What a good time! Bring your kids over anytime Meghan! We had an enjoyable evening, full of giggling, running, dancing, and playing!

I think it would be so fun to start a family blog that everyone can contribute! I know we all live in such a busy world and its hard to keep up on our own blogs sometimes but I want this blog to be of: inspirational thoughts, scriptures, quotes, good books, something you learned that helped build up your testimony, recipes, food storage helps(Jenny and Aunt Annette, experts) things that we need the most right now in this busy crazy world.
